3 Colours Rule- Style me Happy Fashion Show

Last saturday I was invited by Flavilla Fongang to take part at the lovely show "Style me Happy Fashion Show" at the Gallery in Redchurch street, east London. The event was organize to support the NSPCC in UK- a charity campaign to protect children from sexual abuse. All the financial donations were given to help NSPCC to fight for children protection.

The event was great, there were more than 100 people present, a warm atmosphere surrounding everybody.

We had different designers showing their pieces so now's time to check them out!

Blazer Splitz Boys HIP HOP AND R&B MUSIC GROUP

I just found those pictures I took for music artists- the BLAZER SPLITZ BOYS, a few months ago working for Studio1B. They are a Hip-Hop and R&B Music Group based in London.

They were funny and great posers and when they started singing Oh my Gosh, they are FAB.

Looking forward to take pictures of them again one day!

Anoosh Naghibi New Special Victorian Dress

I was waiting too long to work with this great model, I saw her just once and I couldn't wait to have her in front of my camera.

I've been thinking a lot about how I wanted her make up, hair and the background to be.

So finally we are on the shoot and Anoosh Naghibi happened to just finish a couple of his new creations: the Victorian Dress and a Punk -Born to be Wild - outfit which exactly mirror my feelings at the moment:)

The First shoot is inspire by the sensational Alice in Wonderland where my Alice is sort of surprise and delicate at the same time.

The make -up and hair are by Michelle Plant my very good friend and talented girl

I was contacted by Marlon Henry, asking me to have pictures taken somewhere in London, in a place that could represent his feeling as new rapper- so I thought why not South Bank Skate Park with his cool graffiti, I guess is one of the most well known places where you can just stand there and admire street art. I always wanted to take pictures there, so here we go...

I was so pleased when Barbara Mensa Mua asked me to take pictures for a new designer at one of the most amazing location in London: The London Eye.

Clothes are by a young new designer Beatrice K. Newman, perfectly wore by Stunning model Daniella Maria M.

We were there at sunset, one of those perfect cold wintery day where the sky leaves you with no words. And this is it!

One of the last lookbook I shot is the amazing collection of Olafemi Bela.

I met Ola at the Ethnic Fashion Show in London and after that I was shooting her collection in south London couple of months ago.

Deenola Designz uses african fabrics and contemporary silhouettes, all elegant but also comfortable to wear.

The Ethnic Fashion Show for Momentum Collective

The Ethnic Fashion show was held at The Africa Centre in Covent Garden, London.

A selection of New Designer like Deenola Designs, Kirette Couture, Mia Kai LTD , N'Kia, Aykay Couture, Miss Pouty Pout were showing off their new collections 2010.

What has caught eye more were the warm colours, vivid combinations and amazing shapes of the garments pull together with everyday clothes like jeans, tops ecc.

The event was organized by Momentum Collective.

I'm definitely in love with Ting, she's the most lovely chinese way to be girl I have ever met.

She's tiny, skinny and very calm. Lovely long dark hair, perfect skin like a porcelain doll.

I was so much looking forward to this shoot, I've been planning it for more than a month but is never easy to find the right people at the right moment and even more difficult, all of them free the same day. Location is The Bridge Coffee House, amazing cafè that I found on accident one day while I was walking to Old Street Tube.

Rico the owner, is a very nice person and let us shoot upstairs where the feeling is to find yourself in one of this antique shop with lovely MarieAntoinette style furniture, art nouveaux lamps and creaky wooden floor, was a sunny day so light was seeping through the windows and gave the perfect taste I wanted of the pictures.

These photographs are inspired by The Neverending Story that I used to watch when I was a kid, particularly the character of the Childlike Empress. I wanted to recreate that sort of fairy melancholy spirit,with a blue color enchanting the feeling of being in a daydream story.

Outfit is a 1980'2 style wedding dress, location Hotel Castelbrando in Cison di Valmarino, Treviso, Italy. Model is Chiara.

London Fashion Week Day 2

The 2nd day was even more exciting than the 1st one, again there for TheFashionStrike I started straight away at the Somerset House with Basso and Brooke, loved the colours, the bold print dresses, certain pieces glamour and other bit more funky. After that the Jonathan Saunders Autumn-Winter 2010-11 catwalk took place at the old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane.

But the most fab event of the day was the Burberry Prorsum, collection inspired by old aviator jacket and from that the name "The Burberry Cadet Girls" given to the models.

In the front row, Mary-Kate Olsen, Kate Hudson, Kristen Stewart, Claire Danes.

Just amazing.

As accredited photographer for ThefashionStrike.com today I was at the London Fashion Week to photograph the shows of Nicole Farhi, Antonio Berardi, Osman and the amazing Christopher Kane. Just a selection of the collection is posted o the blog today, the atmosphere was so electric, so many nice clothes and people around.

I was glad I met Marcus and Matteo taking me on their bus so I didn't have to waste time on the tube to get into the different venues. Somerset House brilliant but Kane had the best location by Top Shop venue near Covent Garden this year.

I just got back from Italy, exactly from Vicenza where I had the pleasure to photograph three amazing girls, Carlotta, Gioia and Valentina on sunday afernoon.

The photoshoot was at the Piramidi Shopping Centre in Vicenza and we could use all amazing clothes and accessories by Benetton New Spring Summer Season 2010.

The make-up is by Cherry Laxamana.

I went home and I had in my head this picture of him with that light on the side, walking past the courtyard I saw it, that big maroon chair abandoned in front of the bin.

I took it straight away and set up everything to get the shoot ready.

Daniele's got this great curly hair, I knew they could be amazing for a fashion shoot, I wanted him to wear boots and shirt (H&M) and skinny jeans (Topshop).

Hello there,

welcome to LSBlog, this is going to be my blank canvas, it will be filled with my thoughts, photographs, work and projects.

Fashion photography has always been my first love, since I was in Italy even more now that I came to London so I thought was good to share what I love with everybody could be interested in things like this.

After a brilliant Fashion Photography Training at London Academy of Media and Film and following another 2 great fulfilling days at the SWPP Convention in Hammersmith I can finally give birth to this blog and show you what I love doing.

Go on then, for today I'll live you with something I was told yesterday:

You don't have to be the best

you just have to be better than last week.
